Who is Dr. Kourtney Sims?

The FIRST and the ONLY physician in the U.S. Triple Certified

Dr. Sims is the FIRST and currently the ONLY physician in the United States to be simultaneously nationally certified by the North American Menopause Society and the Institute of Functional Medicine, while also being board-certified in Ob-Gyn and Obesity Medicine.

Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner

Dr. Kourtney has received the Compassionate Doctor Award from Vitals.com in 2010 and 2011. She also served as Interim Director of Midwifery at Bayshore Medical Center in 2008 and received the Patient's Choice Award from Vitals.com in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Inclusive of both traditional and holistic therapies

In addition to her rigorous medical training, she has also pursued several training in several complimentary fields to women’s health. She completed a certificate in plant based nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. She completed her education in Clinical Herbalism from one of the leaders of Western Herbalism Dr. T. LowDog and serves on the board of the American Herbalist Guild.

Our Premiere Screening was a GREAT success!

January 11th was a milestone for our women's wellness mission. McGovern Theater of the Health Museum was well attended and the Q&A Expert Panel was fantastic! Nutritionist Tammy Karni, Dr. Shelena Lalji, and Dr. Kourtney Sims (from left to right) had such strong, positive, and natural connections with each other. Every attendee left inspired and informed, and they made sure we knew it!
